On May 10, the Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW) hosted its sold-out 2025 Vision Awards Gala at its new Kingston headquarters, honoring five trailblazers in photography. Sally Mann received the Lifetime Achievement Award; Tyler Mitchell was named Photographer of the Year; Qiana Mestrich earned the Saltzman Prize for Emerging Photographer; and Lesley Martin and Pauline Vermare were honored for I’m So Happy You Are Here: Japanese Women Photographers from the 1950s to Now. The event also raised vital funds for CPW’s programs, many threatened by federal arts cuts. CPW Executive Director Brian Wallis reaffirmed the organization’s mission to use photography as a tool for equity, advocacy, and social change.
