Marco Benevento Credit: Fionn Reilly

We dig West Saugerties keyboardist Marco Benevento a lot around here. The impish virtuosoโ€™s are always a blast and over-filled with all kinds of unexpected musical twists and turns. And the recently announced New Yearโ€™s Eve throwdown by Benevento at BSP sounds like a hell of a way to plunge off the precipice into 2018.

Beneventoโ€™s latest release is this yearโ€™s Woodstock Sessions (reviewed by John Burdick in the August 2017 issue of Chronogram), which was recorded live โ€™nโ€™ local at Applehead Studios. For this sonically orgiastic NYE jam, heโ€™ll be sharing the bill with headliners Rubblebucket.

Dig โ€œLimbs of a Pine,โ€ Beneventoโ€™s 2012 collaboration with Rubblebucket singer Kamia Traver:

Rubblebucket and Marco Benevento will perform in BSPโ€™s Back Room Theater in Kingston, New York, on December 31 at 8pm. Tickets are $40 online and $50 at the door. For more information, call (845) 481-5158 or visit http://bspkingston.com/.
