We dig West Saugerties keyboardist Marco Benevento a lot around here. The impish virtuosoโs are always a blast and over-filled with all kinds of unexpected musical twists and turns. And the recently announced New Yearโs Eve throwdown by Benevento at BSP sounds like a hell of a way to plunge off the precipice into 2018.
Beneventoโs latest release is this yearโs Woodstock Sessions (reviewed by John Burdick in the August 2017 issue of Chronogram), which was recorded live โnโ local at Applehead Studios. For this sonically orgiastic NYE jam, heโll be sharing the bill with headliners Rubblebucket.
Dig โLimbs of a Pine,โ Beneventoโs 2012 collaboration with Rubblebucket singer Kamia Traver:
Rubblebucket and Marco Benevento will perform in BSPโs Back Room Theater in Kingston, New York, on December 31 at 8pm. Tickets are $40 online and $50 at the door. For more information, call (845) 481-5158 or visit http://bspkingston.com/.
