June presents us with the calmest skies of the year. This does not mean our troubles are over, but at least we can catch a break, along with our collective breath. There are still messes to clean and wrongs to right, but the skies aren’t introducing new chaos. In fact, the month opens with Mercury’s entrance into introspective Cancer on June 1. It’s time to replace doom-scrolling and Chat GPT conversations with homesteading and hugs. Then the skies go quiet: no planetary shifts or consequential transits (barring a heart-melting Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer on June 9). Use the first two weeks of June to gain some traction on a project with less interference than usual, or,  simply enjoy yourself.

Speaking of joy, Venus enters Leo on June 13. When the planet of connection, abundance, and beauty enters the sign of The Lion it’s time to drop our defenses and love out loud. Celebrate romance and all aspects of the human drama. The following day, on June 14, a new Moon in Gemini encourages us to start a new conversation. If you’ve hit a stalemate in negotiations, introduce new ideas, perspectives, and parameters—Gemini demands flexibility.

The first day of summer in the northern hemisphere (summer solstice) arrives on June 21 when the sun enters Cancer. Protecting what’s emotionally delicate and materially vulnerable will be a priority. Instead of bracing against sensitivity and empathy, lean into it with a chosen few. When Mars enters Gemini on June 28 our sweet summer lull gets replaced by a desire for friction and novelty. A full moon in Capricorn, paired with Mercury’s station retrograde on June 29 brings our ambitions and nostalgia back online. Jupiter begins its year-long tenure in Leo on June 30 and sets us up for a bombastic July!
