Daddy Long Legs Singer Solo in Woodstock

Over the last few years, New York blues punk trio Daddy Long Legs has become one of the top live draws on the Hudson Valley circuit, and with good reason: The band’s wild performances never fail to drive the crowd crazy, and their rootsy, high-energy approach appeals to multiple generations. On May 15, Daddy Long Legs front man Brian Hurd takes the trip to Woodstock for a special solo appearance at the Tinker Street Tavern.

In addition to being a visceral, growling vocalist and an absolute terror on the harmonica—one of the best in the business, seriously—Hurd is also a fine guitarist whose steel resonator instrument fleshes out his stark, authentically downhome sound. Titled “Blues in the Bottle,” his current solo show sees him reinterpreting early blues classics in his trademark rowdy gutbucket style.

Brian Hurd’s “Blues in the Bottle” comes to the Tinker Street Tavern in Woodstock on May 15 at 4pm. See website or call venue for admission information.
