Much like how bigger artists have wrested control of their music from the majors by forming their own labels, increasingly bands that get big enough have been grabbing the pie back from promoters by starting their own music festivals. To whit: Palenvilleโs world-conquering Felice Brothers, who are launching an event theyโve dubbed the Felice County Fair this month.
Taking place on the grounds of the magnificent Opus 40 sculpture park, this guaranteed-to-rollick blow-out stars, in addition to the namesake headliners, a solid cast of several of the Woodstock areaโs most beloved acts: Amy Helm, Marco Benevento, Connor Kennedy, and Paul Green Rock Academy All Stars. Food trucks and โtasty libationsโ are promised, and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Catskill Mountainkeeper organization.
