Overview:

The Rally in the Valley will feature sets by 13 bands.

Tireless local punk promotions outfit DCxPC Live has been keeping things proudly DIY with a relentless run of raucous happenings at small venues around the Hudson Valley, hosting 35 shows across the region in 2025 alone. The latest such offering is the Rally in the Valley, a two-day blowout at Snapper Magee’s with performances by the Raging Nathans, Teenage Halloween, Chemical-X, Rebelmatic, Thick, Soji, and other underground acts on April 11 and 12.

Dayton, Ohio, quartet the Raging Nathans formed in 2009 and have released six studio albums, most of them on the band’s own Rad Girlfriend Records. Signed to the vital Don Giovanni label, Asbury Park, New Jersey, foursome Teenage Halloween address mental health and queer struggles on their self-titled 2020 debut. Also hailing from New Jersey, Chemical-X go for a classic early 1980s hardcore sound a la Black Flag and the Circle Jerks.

Fusing hardcore with hip-hop, New York band Rebelmatic have collaborated with legends like H.R. of the Bad Brains, Angelo Moore of Fishbone, the GZA of Wu-Tang Klan, and Schoolly D. The urgent music of Philadelphia four-piece Soji boasts “subversive lyrics reflecting on racism, womanism, police brutality, and the growing housing crisis.” Brooklyn band Thick recently finished recording their third LP and is looking forward to their first single coming out this summer.

Also set to appear at the Rally in the Valley fest are Blind Adam and the Federal League, Lake Lanier, the Snorts, Worldsucks, Trash Diva, My Son the Doctor, and Jaelyn.

The Rally in the Valley will take place at Snapper Magee’s in Kingston on April 11 and 12 at 3pm. Tickets are $10 in advance for each day and $20 in advance for the full two-day event. For tickets and further information visit the DCxPC Live website.
