At the heart of this festival is Marco Benevento, a Woodstock-based artist whose career spans over seven studio albums and countless performances worldwide. Known for his genre-blind fusion of indie rock, jazz, and improvisational elements, Benevento’s music has been lauded by the Los Angeles Times for its unique perspective on the keyboard. NPR Music praises his ability to blend “the thrust of rock, the questing of jazz, and the experimental ecstasy of jam,” while Rolling Stone highlights his “deceptively rich, catchy melodies and straight-ahead grooves.” His latest studio album, Benevento delves into a psych-funk realm, reflecting a surrealistic optimism that resonates through tracks like “At The End Or The Beginning” and “Do You Want Some Magic?”
