To celebrate its 15th year as a Hudson Valley nonprofit arts organization, the Wallkill Center for the Arts, in Montgomery, is launching the Arthur Patchett Memorial Music Series, which will take place from June 23 through November 4 in Orange County.

Curated by renowned jazz vocalist and WRCA Board of Directors member Judi Silvano, the 2023 Arthur Patchett Memorial Music Series features six concerts that explore the region’s diverse talent and features world-class players with an emphasis on original music. The concerts will be presented in venues throughout the county that range from traditional concert halls to local organic farms.

The series commences on June 23 at 7:30pm with a concert at Goshen Green Farm Barn by cellist Alex Prizgintas titled “From Bach to Rock.” The classically trained musician employs non-classical devices like distortion, delay, looping, and wah-wah pedals to his performances. Also scheduled to appear in the series are vibraphonist Bill Ware and his quartet (July 28), Judi Silvano and Friends (August 11), keyboardist Neil Alexander and his X Ensemble (September 17), and Daniel Villegas with a unique blend of hip-hop poetry, salsa, and Afro-Latin drums (November 4). See the website for concert locations and times.

The Wallkill Center for the Arts’ 2023 Arthur Patchett Memorial Music Series runs June 23 through November 4 in Orange County. There is a suggested donation of $20 for each concert. Online tickets are available and recommended.
