Overview:

The Bongos and Feelies frontmen and their band will perform glam rock classics.

Full of flash, panache—and fantastic music—the 1970s glam rock era rightly stands as a pinnacle of popular music. Hazy Cosmic Jive, a band co-led by the frontmen of two acts that ruled 1980s American underground rock, Richard Barone of the Bongos and Glenn Mercer of the Feelies, will return to the Falcon on May 15 to revisit the timeless songs of those glittery days gone by.

Think T. Rex, Roxy Music, Mott the Hoople, the New York Dolls, Transformer-era Lou Reed, the Stooges in their Raw Power phase, and of course Ziggy Stardust-period David Bowie—Hazy Cosmic Jive, which also features drummer Dave Weckerman (the Feelies, Wake Ooloo) and bassist Bob Torsello (the Shrubs, Slambovian Circus of Dreams), pays homage to the lasting influence these flashy forbears have had on the likewise lasting music they’ve each made with their own acclaimed bands.

Richard Barone and Glenn Mercer’s Hazy Cosmic Jive will perform on the Falcon’s Underground Stage in Marlboro on May 15 at 9pm. A donation of $30 is requested.
