The third annual Chamber Music at the Stissing Center will run at the center’s Pine Plains location from April 9 through October 30, showcasing the rich talents of dozens of emerging artists as well as world-renowned performers.

Beginning the schedule is an all-star performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A Minor featuring American/Hungarian pianist Julia Hamos, violinist Abigel Kralik, and cellist Sterling Elliot, a 2021 Avery Fisher Grant winner. The concert will take place on April 9 at 4pm. Tickets are $25 in advance ($5 students).

Further series events include young professional opera singers from Bard Conservatory of Music’s Vocal Arts Program (April 24); the NEXT Festival of Emerging Artists (June 3); British pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen (June 12); Chinese pianist Zhu Wang (June 19); “Bach vs. Climate Change” featuring Chinese pianist Sophia Zhou playing the Goldberg Variations and 2019 Environmental Photographer of the Year J Henry Fair (September 18); pianist Adam Golka and scholar Jan Swafford with a lecture-recital based on the work of German author E.T.A Hoffmann, with the music of Brahms and Schumann (October 4); and “4 Hands 2 Pianos,” a two-piano program by piano virtuoso Llewellyn Sanchez Werner and director Sophia Zhou (October 30).
