They say laughter is good for the soul. The Woodstock Comedy Festival makes it even better with their mission of โcomedy for a cause.โ The weekend-long giggle fest raises money for the charities Family of Woodstock and Polaris Project. The hilarity kicks off on Friday night, September 15, with Laughingstock, featuring Caroline Rhea, Aparna Nancherla, and other female comedians. The rest of the weekend features comedy panels, stand-up shows, and comedic short films. Mario Cantone, whose recent Comedy Central parody of โThe Moochโ went viral, will headline Saturday night with his customary blend of improv and impersonation. Woodstockcomedyfestival.org.
