On January 26, Chronogram, in partnership with Radio Kingston, hosted a panel discussion on the #MeToo movement, sexual assault, gender identity, and female empowerment at Aaron Rezny Studios at 76 Print Street Studios LLC in Kingston. The panel was moderated by Hillary Harvey, editor-at-large at Chronogram and host of Radio Kingston’s weekly news program “The Source.” Panelists included Sharone Wellington-deAnda, Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley Board member and internship and project coordinator with the school of professional programs at Marist College; Assemblymember Didi Barrett (District 106); Dr. Eve Waltermaurer Director of Research and Evaluation at the Benjamin Center for Public Policy Initiatives at SUNY New Paltz; finance and tech industry veteran Tameka Ramsey; Woodstock Film Festival executive director Meira Blaustein; and Susan Zimet, executive director of Hunger Action Network of New York and author of Roses and Radicals: The Epic Story of How American Women Won the Right to Vote.

The event, which was broadcast live on Radio Kingston and Facebook, was a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley. Special thanks to Jimmy Buff and Kale Kaposhilin of Radio Woodstock, Aaron Rezny for hosting the event in his studio, and Chronogram reader Jude Asphar, who suggested the theme for the event.
