The start of spring will beckon us into the garden. Maybe it’s the Easter baskets, reminiscent of European markets, that make a local farm even more appealing. Swing by Madava Farms in Dutchess County’s Dover Plains for a maple-infused Easter brunch on Sunday, March 27th. Situated on 800 acres of pristine, sustainably managed land in Dutchess County, the century-old sugar and red maples have ideal terroir and seasonal weather conditions to produce a superior sap for maple sugaring. That Crown Maple syrup is baked into scones and sticky buns. It glazes ham and candies bacon. It’s in the vinaigrette and, of course, it’s poured over pancakes. Brunch seating is at 12pm with an Easter Egg Hunt to follow for kids 12 and under.
