But don’t start mourning just yet. While the brick-and-mortar location is shutting down, the spirit of Toasted will live on as an event company.
Between the financial strain and the reality of the pandemic’s lasting effects, Toasted’s team has had to make the tough call to close up shop. It’s a bitter pill, no doubt. But here’s where it gets sweet: The team isn’t hanging up their hats. In fact, they’re just getting started on a whole new chapter.
Toasted is pivoting to bring its signature brand of chaos, community, music, and good vibes to other local restaurants and bars, festivals, and pop-ups near and far. Expect to see Toasted partnering with more venues, collaborating on renegade stages at music festivals, and curating unforgettable events across the region.
For the loyal crowd who spent weekends dancing, drinking, and reveling in the energy Toasted brought to Newburgh’s nightlife, this is a bittersweet farewell to 43 Liberty Street. “We’ve had nothing short of magical moments here,” says the team. “The community we’ve built within these walls is something we’ll never forget.” From intimate DJ sets to full-blown bashes that spilled into the streets, Toasted’s reputation for creating a space that felt like home for music lovers and partygoers alike will be missed.
But before the venue closes its doors for good, there are some final events you won’t want to miss. Leading up to the final blowout on February 15, Toasted is throwing a series of parties, pop-ups, and spcial events that promise to send the venue off in style:
February 10: The Toasted Crew is teaming up with some of their favorite local DJs for a night of nonstop dancing and throwback hits.
February 11: It’s a pop-up food and drink collaboration, featuring local vendors and some crowd-favorite comfort food.
February 14: A “Love & Libations” night with drink specials and a playlist that’s all about the things you’ve loved about Toasted.
February 15: Last call! The final event. Expect an all-out party featuring live performances and surprise guest appearances.
The last event at 43 Liberty St. is going to be a night for the books, and in true Toasted fashion, it will be packed with familiar faces and more than a few reasons to raise your glass before Toasted takes its show on the road.
