If you’re looking for a spot to grab a bite of the Hudson Valley and enjoy those sun-soaked summer days to their fullest, look no further than Willow by Charlie Palmer. The signature restaurant at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, a French-inspired accommodation that opened in the fall of 2019, offers a prime spot in the heart of Rhinebeck to sit back, relax, and indulge in some modern bistro fare.
This summer, the restaurant has announced a new chef de cuisine, Lee Clements. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Clements is excited to focus on bringing produce from local farms to the menu so the hotel’s guests can enjoy the abundance that the Hudson Valley is known for. Chef Clements’ touch can already be seen with the new summer menu.
Standout options include a classic New England Lobster roll and house-made potato chips, an heirloom tomato salad made with Eckerton Hill Farm tomatoes, burrata, micro basil, and aged balsamic, and a grilled veal chop, which comes complete with pluot slices, roasted pluot demi-glace, sautéed spinach, and fingerling potatoes.
In addition to its new menu, the restaurant will also be continuing its “Burgers & Brews” special for lunch and dinner on Wednesdays—a seasonally inspired gourmet burger expertly paired with a craft beer that rotates monthly ($26).
If you’re looking to enjoy your summer meal al fresco, the restaurant has limited outdoor seating on its canopy-shaded deck, so arrive early to snag a table there if weather permits. The restaurant currently offers seating in the dining room or at the bar as well.
