April is high octane, high performance, adrenaline. Good news for some of you, pre-emptive exhaustion for others. The month opens with a full Moon in Libra on April Fool’s Day. Our true desires regarding our relationships will be unveiled along with opportunities for resolution, negotiations, or departures. On April 9, Mars, planet of force, will, and desire, enters its home sign of Aries. A planet in its home sign has easy access to all its favorite tools and full-bodied expression of its essence. For Mars in Aries that means bold action, fresh starts, and severance. Mercury, planet of communication, enters Aries on April 14, telling it like it is with absolutely no embellishments; straight, no chaser is the vibe. If you’re craving more Aries energy, you’re in luck. A new Moon in Aries on April 17 urges us to advocate for ourselves, and answer to our own primal instincts.

The pace of life slows down considerably on April 19, when the sun leaves Aries for the quieter pastures of Taurus. It might even feel like slamming on the brakes, as Mars meets up with slow burning Saturn in Aries on the same day. The sudden calm gets shot-through with glimmers of curiosity and desires for distraction when Venus enters Gemini on April 24. The following day, on April 25, Uranus, planet of great awakenings, revolutions, and liberation enters the quizzical and elliptical sign of Gemini for a seven -year residency. We begin a long process of breaking up the status quo with regard to how we process information and travel. Uranus always forces us to break apart so that we can come back together in new ways. A tense aspect between the Sun and Pluto on the same day begs us to not forsake the natural world and the humans in it for technological advancement and power.
