“Most people think chiropractic work is about pain, but it isn’t about pain at all,” says Dr. Marc Rabinowitz, a chiropractor with almost 25 years of experience. “It’s about the ability of your nervous system to function at its highest potential; about you living to your fullest potential.”

At his practice in Uptown Kingston, Family Network Chiropractic, Dr. Marc uses a variety of chiropractic techniques to help unlock his patients’ full potential. But the one that changed his own career path was Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), a technique whose dramatic effects he experienced firsthand while in chiropractic college.

In contrast to the cracking and twisting techniques most people associate with chiropractors, those who practice NSA use light, gentle touches on the spine. These signals cue the frontal cortex in the brain to initiate one of two spontaneous spinal waves that can release bound up energy in the form of accumulated tension and stress. “NSA is about changing the way your nervous system adapts and how you relate to that to create a more energetic body,” he says.

According to Dr. Marc, stress is a combination of physical, chemical, and emotional reflexes, all of which are learned during various life experiences and can build up in your body over time. By working with the body to free up that energy, NSA can help undo those built-up responses to stress. “Your brain doesn’t want the stress. It’s a pattern of defense,” he says. “The more stress you hold, the more your body distorts, and the more limited you become in range of motion.”

As one of the only chiropractors in the region practicing this technique, Dr. Marc has seen a wide spectrum of patients who struggle with everything from chronic back pain to anxiety and depression. “This is a process that doesn’t just happen with a month of care,” he says. “The thing that gives me the most excitement is when people’s lives change and whatever pain they have doesn’t hold them back anymore.”

  1. Dr. Marc and Family Network Chiropractic turned my life around. I started seeing Marc for severe back pain combined with stupendous amounts of stress. Rage directed my every thought.

And I had a security job that was more like being a bouncer in a biker bar. All I did was fight and think about fighting. All of it brutal.

Marc helped me see how NSA (Network Spinal Analysis) would not only help with my back pain but also help calm my moods and help me see life in a more positive fashion.

My first entrainment brought me 85% pain relief! But it’s what happened over the following year that was truly mind blowing. My rage started to ease considerably. I began to learn how to adapt to situations I despised with more positive responses. My whole life began to improve!

I’ve been with Marc over 20 years now, 15 of them under NSA care. What it’s done for me and how it’s helped me to understand my entire self, has been life altering. People who knew the “Old me” say the difference between then and now is like night and day.

I wish more people understood this work in the way that I do. People who undergo this care for any length of time just become wonderful people to be around!

  2. I have been attending Family Network Chiropractic and Dr Marc for over 20 years. It has been a path of release and self discovery. He is a perceptive and intuitive Dr. with skills to address what I need.
I am truly grateful for his help!

  3. Having a great chiropractic experience that will help you understand the cause of the pain is a really awesome experience. This help patient more interested because the procedure is well explained and the procedures were executed carefully.
