One of 2018’s major musical milestones is that it’s the 50th (!) anniversary of the Beatles’ White Album. To honor the birth, legacy, and impact of the 1968 masterpiece, local promotions company Ashokan Talent has assembled an all-star lineup of local players for an epic evening at the Bearsville Theater this Saturday.
“The White Album—50 Years” presents a cast that includes Gail Ann Dorsey; Jules Shear, Adrien Reju; Jeff Mercel and Jonathan Donohue of Mercury Rev; Andy Stack; Ben Perowsky; Jane Scarpantoni; and many others—including some “special guests”—performing the Beatles’ double-album opus in its entirety.
To get you in the mood, here’s the official video for the 2018 remix of a personal White Album fave, “Glass Onion”:
“The White Album—50 Years” will take place on December 1 at the Bearsville Theater in Bearsville, New York, at 7pm. Tickets are $20, $30, and $40. For more information, call (845) 679-4406 or visit http://www.bearsvilletheater.com/.
