Itโs great to see that music festivals are once again returning to the region. As Iโve done in past years, I look forward to giving you a handpicked rundown of this seasonโs most promising fests in our June issueโs special Summer Arts Preview section. But ahead of that, I figured Iโd tease you with the news of a new event, the Cave Mountain Catskills Music Festival. Tickets are now on sale for the festival, which will take place on September 15 and 16 at Windham Mountain and feature coheadliners Weezer and Joe Russoโs Almost Dead.
Also appearing at the two-day outdoor event, which is being copresented by Brooklyn Made and Crush Music, are Dinosaur Jr., the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lee Fields, Albert Hammond, Jr., Sheer Mag, Courtney Marie Andrews, Charlotte Rose Benjamin, Channing Wilson, Matt Sucich, Eliza Wolf, Thunderstorm Artis, and the Bones of J.R. Jones.
To further whet your appetite for this new outdoor live music gathering, hereโs a video of Weezer of performing on โJimmy Kimmel Liveโ in 2022:
