Itโ€™s great to see that music festivals are once again returning to the region. As Iโ€™ve done in past years, I look forward to giving you a handpicked rundown of this seasonโ€™s most promising fests in our June issueโ€™s special Summer Arts Preview section. But ahead of that, I figured Iโ€™d tease you with the news of a new event, the Cave Mountain Catskills Music Festival. Tickets are now on sale for the festival, which will take place on September 15 and 16 at Windham Mountain and feature coheadliners Weezer and Joe Russoโ€™s Almost Dead.

Also appearing at the two-day outdoor event, which is being copresented by Brooklyn Made and Crush Music, are Dinosaur Jr., the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lee Fields, Albert Hammond, Jr., Sheer Mag, Courtney Marie Andrews, Charlotte Rose Benjamin, Channing Wilson, Matt Sucich, Eliza Wolf, Thunderstorm Artis, and the Bones of J.R. Jones.

To further whet your appetite for this new outdoor live music gathering, hereโ€™s a video of Weezer of performing on โ€œJimmy Kimmel Liveโ€ in 2022:
