Kick off summer this Memorial Day weekend at the Ulster County Fairgrounds with a festival of all things handmade. Organized by Quail Hollow Events, the Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2019. A beloved staple of the Hudson Valley, the fair offers a one-of-a-kind experience for every style, palate, and generation.

The holiday weekend will offer up handcrafted goods by hundreds of the nation’s finest artists and craftspeople across more than 10 media categories. Visitors will discover uncommon, standout finds for the home, body, and beyond, from wearable art like statement jewelry, scarves, and totes to mosaic sculptures, fine art photography, traditional and modern brush and ink paintings, to home staples like hand-thrown porcelain place settings, glass serving trays, hand-carved wooden bowls, garden sculptures, and more.

The fair also features live artisan demonstrations including hammock and furniture-making, Impressionist painting, CNC machine work, soap-making, wood-turning, and Japanese jewelry braiding. Want to take a break from browsing? Head to the stage for live music performances by seasoned and up-and-coming area artists. There will also be a carefully curated selection of wines, beer, and spirits and gourmet food from local vendors.
Children under 12 enter free, and will enjoy a complimentary arts and crafts area, pirate performances, story-telling, kids’ music, and a wildlife show.

Check out the full entertainment lineup and get to know the work of participating artisans by browsing the online media galleries. Early bird discount tickets and weekend passes (only $13 for all three days!) can be found at Quailhollow.com.
The Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair will take place rain or shine on May 25 & May 26, 10am-5:30pm, and May 27, 10am-4pm.
