If you’re looking for a fun,
surreal experience to honor the recent passing of David Lynch—or something to
counter the decidedly unfun, surreal experience now emanating from Washington,
DC—you might consider checking out the No Ring Circus’s performance of “Firewater!”
at Hudson Brewing Company on January 24.
Billed as “a night of
sin, salvation, filth, and firewater,” the show is being presented and led by the
locally based No Ring Circus troupe’s cofounders, Eli Rose and Violenza. The program
promises a full evening of dazzling side show, drag, circus, and burlesque
performers. Scheduled acts include Ram Belle, God Complex, Rara Darling, Ryan
Shinji, and C’etait Bon Temps.
Established in 2017, the
No Ring Circus is a theatrical production company and agency focused on the
fusion of circus sideshow, performance art, and theater. Company members hail
from around the globe and collaborate on short-form acts, full-length ensemble
productions, and other performance projects.
The No Ring Circus will
present “Firewater!” at Hudson Brewing Company in Hudson on January 24 at 8:30pm.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite for $25-$45. (7:30pm VIP tickets include a
complimentary cocktail, an additional preshow performance, and first access to
best seating).
