The O+ Festival makes its 12th return to Kingston, the place of its birth, this month, launching with a performance by local improv rock band Ultraam with special guest M. Geddes Gengras and live projections by B.A. Miele at the Old Dutch Church in Kingston on May 14 at 8pm.
Founded in 2010, the O+ Festival provides participating artists and musicians with free and discounted health and wellness services via volunteer-staffed pop-up clinics in exchange their contributions to the festival programming.
On May 28 at Keegan Ales in Kingston, the O+ organization will celebrate the 2022 Kingston Women’s Bike Festival with the BlO+ck Party, which will feature bike expo, workshops, a mural ride, cycling advocacy and safety speakers, a gravel ride, music, refreshments, and more from 10am to 1pm. At the same location, from 1 to 4pm, there will be a live dance party with music by Americana group Rootbrew and funk band What?.
Tickets for the May 14 concert by Ultraam and M. Geddes Gengras at the Old Dutch Church are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For tickets and more information, visit the O+ Festival website.
