Peter Aaron Feb 14, 2023 9:00 AM

The organizers of the phone-free Over Yondr music festival recently announced that tickets are now on sale for the Greenville event’s third production, will be held June 16-18.

No lineup has been unveiled as of yet, but the three-day, phoneless weekend promises live music from an eclectic mix of indie rock, bluegrass, folk, and R&B acts and will feature games, food trucks, full bars, and hot showers. Past Yondr performers have included !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Topaz Jones, Sheer Mag, Michael Nau, Bones of J.R. Jones, Delicate Steve, Barry, Kissisippi, Bailen, Kaleta and the Super Yamba Band, and others.

At the outdoor festival, all phones will be secured in official pouches that will remain in attendees’ own possession throughout the weekend. “While the event is meant to serve as a rare opportunity to disconnect from modern technology,” say the organizers, “there will be designated phone-use areas where attendees will be able to access their device as needed.”

Festival passes are now on sale and start at $160, which includes entry to all three days of festival performances plus onsite camping. Single-day tickets are $55.

The 2023 Over Yondr Festival will take place on private farmland in Greenville on June 16, 17, and 18. For lineup announcements, tickets, and information, visit the Over Yondr website.
