Two more performances tonight and tomorrow afternoon of Frank McGinniss’s debut musical, “Safe,” at the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck.

“Safe” is centered around a young couple’s last summer together and how an unexpected intervention by a legendary old hermit forces the characters to choose between idealism and realism. Along the way, they uncover some mysteries, scrape the depths of the human idea of love, and achieve catharsis through song.

Starring Harrison Forman, Thomas Hricisak, Melissa Matthews, Lauren Moran, Cassiopeia Ottulich, Matthew Patane, Melissa Pavlich, Wendell Scherer, Nicki Smith, Douglas Woolever, Emily Woolever & Matthew Woolever. Written and directed by Frank McGinniss.
