Music at the Loeb: Reflections on Iconic Buildings

Uploaded by mediarelations
The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center
Composers Jonathan Chenette and Harold Meltzer lament one building’s violent destruction (Chenette) and reflect another’s fantastical construction (Meltzer). Professor Chenette will introduce his Elegy and Affirmation, and Professor Luisa Valle (Art) will describe the idiosyncrasies of Antonio Gaudí's Casa Batlló, which inspired Meltzer’s recent piece for cello and piano. With Raman Ramakrishnan, cello, and Thomas Sauer, piano.
