Spring Beauties: Violet, Lilac and Magnolia Medicine

Come enjoy some of our spring time favorites as we delight in delicious violet syrup, lilac infused honey and magnolia petals. In this workshop we will be learning about the medicinal and culinary properties of spring flowers and introduce easy to make remedies to capture the beauty of spring. We will introduce our local violet species, violet lore, medicinal benefits of flowers and leaves and various preparation, and work with fragrant flowers such as lilacs, magnolias and roses to make flower infused honeys and syrups. Each participant will take home a set of recipes and preparations of their choosing.
