Talk on the Lenape People in the Hudson Valley

On Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m. Mount Gulian Historic Site, Beacon, will offer a talk about the local history of the Lenape Native Americans, the first inhabitants of the region. The talk, given by Harv Hilowitz, Contributing Scholar for the Maritime Museum in Kingston, will focus on Lenape life-ways before the contact period and delve into the Lenape diaspora, and current renaissance and return to the area. Reservations are preferred but walk-in will be accommodated if space allows. Light refreshments will be served. Admission: $12/adults; $10/seniors; $5 children (5-15 years). Mount Gulian members are free.
