The big news, of course, is that Jupiter is entering your sign this month. For reference, the most recent time that happened was way back in late September 2004, which leads me to a question: are you still facing the same old fears, or have you found your confidence? I suggest you not make any assumptions; really consider this one. Fear and confidence work in a ratio. The more confidence you have, the less you are inclined to worry about things that might trouble other people. Another theme is generosity. I’ve noticed something grim in the 12 years since Jupiter was last in Libra, which is that being sincerely helpful has grown ever less fashionableโor worse, it makes less and less sense to many people. The ethos of taking, of getting what you can, of taking advantage, seems to seep through a lot of rhetoric about integrity. You have something to gain by being generous, which is peace of mind. I would propose that you have a need to live knowing that you’re doing everything that you can do for everyone you can do it for. To do this, you must go beyond what you think your capacity is. You must stretch a little, and that is what Jupiter does. You will have many opportunities this year to set small things rightโand some big ones, too.

No no no. Uh-uh. No way do Librans need even the remotest suggestion that we take on the business of goodness for everyone else. Let’s talk about the last 12 years, eh? All Librans who have had their bloody heads stomped into the ground, raise your hands, unless they, too, have been torn off. The helpfulness bit reaches a limit when what bit of energy that remains after the continual stompings, has got to be utilized to save what’s left of spirit and mind. Of course, there is no stopping this innate desire to “open doors” for others, and therein lies the conflict. But speaking for moi, enough.
Thank for yet another spot on reading, EFC. As I have an opposing view to the above comment, I would just like to posit an opinion on this reading. As you’ve spoken about in your podcast, it is indeed Libra (not Scorpio) who is the eternal lover and healer. I’ve always known I had something to gain by being generous, and sharing an outwardly positive love, befitting the integrity of the Scales. This has not always been easy, but in this current time, the generosity impulse seems more tangible and attainable than other time in our recent memory (2008-2016). Your words are the beautiful reminder that we as Libras have more power than we sometimes care to acknowledge, especially when it comes to our ability to ‘do everything’ for those around us. It would seem–even now–that we’ve come through a trial by fire only to bestowed with a more ready, willing, and capable ethos, rhetoric, and integrity. These ARE, in fact, the hallmarks of Cardinal Wind. Even in the age of the smart phone, we’ve come through some rough transits stronger in the broken places. We’ve stretched, we’ve fought on in the image of equality that our sign represents, and we are continuing to do so, every day. We’ve all been through a War, but any Libra should see that as one of the most important signs of the Zodiac, those who’ve taken advantage in recent times, have certainly not severed our heads from the corps. They’ve simply reinforced the confidence of the love still yet to give.
