Mohonk Mountain House is a fan-favorite getaway any time of year, and autumn in the Hudson Valley is no exception. Work from Their House
If you’ve ever wanted panoramic views of Lake Mohonk outside your office window, here’s your chance. For those who want to work remotely for part (or all) of their stay, Mohonk Mountain House rolled out enhanced health and safety protocols in June, and is now offering overnight guests the opportunity to “Work from Our House.”
From now through the end of September, you can add password-protected high-speed WiFi and printing services when you book your stay. Since the historic resort also has the décor to match, you can also choose to upgrade your guestroom desk chair to an ergonomic office chair.
Education in the Outdoors
Families who want a break from remote learning at home can now have Mohonk as their classroom, too. Guests who book overnight stays through September 20 have access to an array of hands-on activities that start at 2:30pm each day. Each interactive offering is designed to perfectly supplement online classes and help kids release excess energy after a day indoors.
Activities include the “History Talk and Scavenger Hunt,” an interactive intro to the resort’s history, a “Junior Naturalist Hike,” where kids explore Mohonk’s beautiful surroundings and earn a “Junior Naturalist” certificate, as well as “Pond/Lake Ecology” and “Intro to Fishing,” where students explore the depths of Lake Mohonk, learn about its ecosystem, or receive a practical lesson about the basics of fishing, complete with poles and bait.
Autumn Awaits
This autumn, Mohonk’s annual outdoor recreational offerings will also be in full swing. During your stay, you can hike the 85 miles of trails, rock scramble through the Labyrinth to Sky Top Tower, golf on the historic 9-hole golf course, or enjoy horseback riding and carriage rides around the property care of The Mohonk Stables.
