Kingston Children’s Day Parade to Return | Festivals | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
The City of Kingston and the City of Kingston Parks and Recreation Department have announced that the 52nd Annual Kingston Children’s Day Parade will be held on July 15. The theme this year is “Heroes.”

“The Children’s Day Parade is a wonderful Kingston tradition that so many families look forward to every year,” said Mayor Steve Noble in a press statement. “This year the theme is an apt one – heroes can be interpreted in many ways. Maybe it’s a first responder or medical professional, or a superhero. We will see many of our local heroes at this event—from Kingston firefighters and police officers to the many vital community organizations and youth groups. I look forward to celebrating all these Kingston heroes!”

The lineup for the parade will begin at 4:30pm on Pine Grove and Marys avenues, with the parade stepping off of Pine Grove Avenue onto Broadway promptly at 6pm. The parade will then proceed up Broadway and onto Albany Avenue, make a right turn onto Clinton Avenue and then another right turn onto Westbrook Lane. Floats and units will then continue down Westbrook Lane, pass the Herzog’s lumber yard and will then take the next left toward the back of Herzog’s Home Center store in Kingston Plaza.

Following the parade, Kingston Plaza will provide food and water for participants.
