“Peace, Love & Lights” at Bethel Woods | Hudson Valley Events Round-Ups | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the site of the original Woodstock Festival, continues the 1969 event’s theme of harmony and togetherness with the return of its popular holiday “Peace, Love & Lights” display, which will run daily from December 15 through January 1.

“Peace, Love & Lights” is a drive-through experience of winter holiday lights that can be experienced from the comfort of your own car: All visitors have to do is simply turn off their headlights and follow the magical glow through the Bethel Woods grounds.

For 2020, the center has expanded the experience by more adding winter light displays throughout the route to augment the displays beloved themed areas. This year, the festival of lights has the following areas: “New York,” “Holidays Around the World,” “Snowflake Alley,” “Christmas,” “Candy Cane Lane,” “Enchanted Forest,” and as a nod to the historic site, “Groovy Way.”

“Peace, Love & Lights” is open daily from December 15 through January 1 from 5pm to 10pm at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel. Standard vehicles are $30 per carload (see website for limo and bus rates) and tickets can be purchased at the center’s website. “Peace, Love & Lights” can also visit the Museum at Bethel Woods for $5 per person.
