Poem: Twenty Years in Six Lines | Poetry | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine

"He fell into a deep sleep."

The luster of the flagon upon yond
wild Catskills has seduced me to partake in
his liquor. Oh devilish nectar, sweet
Hollands who quench a thirsty soul and flow
through my body until I am dreaming
and I wake to new earth beneath my feet.
