"Forget the cicadas," Nina Shengold writes in her author profile this month. "This is the summer of Carey Harrison."

The playwright, author, actor, and son of the Academy Award-winner Rex Harrison has been touring the Hudson Valley nonstop with his new novel Justice. But the prolific writer carved some time out of his busy schedule to join the podcast this week. Brian K. Mahoney and Nina Shengold talk with Harrison about his new plays that ran in repertoire last month at the Byrdcliffe Theater, his recently released novel, his famous father, and the tattoo that covers his entire back.

Carey Harrison will perform at the Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice this year, which runs from August 1 through 4.
