Rolling out another year of art, the Garrison Art Center celebrates it’s 50th anniversary with Rollin’ on the River, a steamroller printmaking festival. On Sunday October 5 12-4pm at Garrison’s Landing, the event invites tots to seniors, and artists of all levels to create their own block print and which will be pressed with a giant steamroller onto the pavement in front of the Art Center. With over 130 participating local students, art classes will be bringing their work to be printed as giant collaborative prints, along with a number of artists from the area who will be printing 4 x 8 foot block prints. Following the event will be a pop-up exhibition of the work, and a reception at Riverside Galleries from 4 to 6.
