The cast of "Stomp"
“Stomp,” the award-winning, internationally popular percussion and dance performance show, will bang and clang its way into the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) in Kingston on May 26.

Created by British street performers Steve McNicholas and Luke Creswell in 1991, “Stomp” took England and Europe by storm and went on to become a worldwide sensation that’s been staged in more than 50 countries for millions of viewers and has enjoyed an ongoing, sold-out run in New York’s Orpheum Theater. Using nontraditional, unexpected, “junk” percussion pieces as instruments—oil drums, brooms, pipes, chairs, trash cans—and sporting a squat-dwelling, street-punk look, the “Stomp” cast members employ dazzling, athletic choreography. Always growing, the show incorporates new routines with each season; the latest production includes two previously unseen pieces.

Presented by Bardavon, “Stomp” will be performed at UPAC in Kingston on May 26 at 8pm. Tickets are $39 and up. Check website for current COVID guidelines.
