Podcast Episode 57: Gary Chetkof of Radio Woodstock | Podcast | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine

Before buying WDST in 1994, Gary Chetkof was involved in the acquisition, merger and divestiture of over $1.8 billion dollars of radio broadcast properties. Chetkof was the Assistant General Counsel of the Sillerman Companies, a merchant-banking firm headed by SFX Entertainment Chairman, Robert F.X. Sillerman. Immediately prior to joining Sillerman, Chetkof served as an officer and general counsel to companies that owned major groups of broadcast stations, including Metropolitan Broadcasting, the purchaser of the Metromedia Radio Group.

Podcast Episode 57: Radio Woodstock CEO Gary Chetkof

Chetkof is also President of CHET-5 Productions, Inc., one of the largest concert promoters in the Hudson Valley area, and the producer of the annual Mountain Jam Festival at Hunter Mountain, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Gary is also the Co-Founder, Chairman and President of the Woodstock Broadcasting Network Corporation, a company that owns numerous Woodstock trademarks and that webcasts RadioWoodstock.com.

I spoke with Chetkof recently about Mountain Jam's 10th anniversary and what the evolving media landscape means for terrestrial radio.
