Modern Maker Magic on the Waterfront: Field + Supply | Branded Content | Shopping | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
The weekend of October 11-13 brings the return of the phenomenon that is Field + Supply to the Hutton Brickyards on the Kingston waterfront. Celebrating its sixth year in 2019, the curated makers’ fair brings together 180 creatives and their wares for an elegant and exuberant take on the timeless appeal of the bazaar.

Most of the vendors are regional, though as the event’s profile rises, some fly in from as far away as London or California. They come together at the brickyard, the beating heart of Kingston’s industrial waterfront for a century, bringing an array of unique wearables, decor and other useful, beautiful things that will gladden and inspire you, whether you’re browsing for the fun of it or getting all your holiday shopping done early.

You can get hands-on at ten different activity stations (learning to craft arrows and leather pouches), pollinator stations, and 10 different vendors will be cooking things up in the dining pavilion.  There will be live music all weekend. The psychedelic soul of Blueberry, the infectious hot jazz of The Lucky Five, the upbeat Americana of The Wild Goats, the acoustic adventure of Bees In The Barn, the rowdy roots-country of The Good Morning Nags, the urban-inflected folk of Cricket Tell The Weather and the eclectic one-man experience The Bones of J.R. Jones seem curated, like the modern makers and the site itself, to exemplify the finest and latest embodiments of enchanting traditions.

Field + Supply is the creation of high-end interior designer Brad Ford, whose weekend place in Accord led him to explore the area and find a long and varied list of favorite spots—and to bring his design vision of functional, sleek, and soulful things to the waterfront, repurposing the industrial venue for a maker's extravaganza.

Field + Supply is open Friday, October 11, 2-6 pm; Saturday, October 12, from 10-6 pm, and Sunday, October 13 from 10-5 pm. Kids and dogs are very welcome, you can purchase tickets online and pick them up at the event.
