The Nighttimes
It’s always groovy to learn that there’s a new Hudson Valley rock ’n’ roll album about to hit the record shelves. And so it is with the impending unveiling of Bury Me in My Favorite Shirt, the debut album by Beacon psychedelic garage punk band the Nighttimes, which will be celebrated with a record release show headlined by the group at hometown venue the Auditorium on May 6.

The Nighttimes were formed in Beacon in 2014 by ex-Brooklynites Ryan Havers (guitar, vocals), Will Hoffman (lead vocals, harmonica), Sergio Perez (drums), Johnny Taylor (guitar, keyboards, vocals), and David Collins (bass); recently, former Knock Yourself Out guitarist Josh Stark replaced Collins on bass. Bury Me in My Favorite Shirt is the band’s fourth release and its first full-length offering.

Here’s a song from a live 2017 local performance by the group:

The Nighttimes will perform at the Auditorium (at the old Beacon High School) on May 6 at 7pm. Barnaby! will open and DJs Vick the Bruiser and Meatball Jack will provide interstitial sounds. The event is BYOB. Tickets are $12.70 and available through Eventbrite.
