The inaugural event will take place in the meadow at the Upstate Farmhouse property, a pastoral, 100-acre site with dazzling views of nearby Overlook Mountain. “A festival is all about energy,” say the organizers. “And this amazing venue sets the stage for a full day experience of music, art, food, drink, and, of course, community and connection.”
The festival will feature eight live sets on two stages (one tented) spanning genres that range from bluegrass, folk, soul, and EDM. Performers include Olivia K and the Parkers, Juliette Johnson, Marcus Rezak’s Shred is Dead, the Under Over Family Band, Skippy and Sloane, Uncle Sam Bridge, Alright People, Beet Boys, and several special guests yet to be announced.
Along with the music, festival goers are encouraged to enjoy an afternoon in the sun by the river on the property, cooling off and enjoying local craft brews and natural wines. Revelers can bring their own coolers for themselves or to share, and to lay out a blanket to connect with old friends and meet new ones. Attendees can stroll the property and take in multiple art installations, drop into a sound bath, or nosh on food from local vendors.
Under Over Fest will take place at Upstate Farmhouse in Saugerties on July 2 from 1pm to 11pm. Tickets are $65-$100.
