“The Art of Killin’ It” at the Park Theater in Hudson | Theater | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
Although the loss of Club Helsinki, due to Covid, was a sad blow to Hudson’s nightlife, the opening of the Park Theater on upper Warren Street in 2021 has brought some live-performance luster back to the town. On July 14 and 15, the gorgeously restored venue will host the novel theatrical production “The Art of Killin’ It.”

Billed as being “like ‘Clue’—but Black!,” the interactive murder-mystery comedy “that allows audiences to explore the four rooms of Hardigan Manor after a body drops dead during an album release party for a popular influencer-turned-rapper. Audience members are the ‘party guests’ of this event and find themselves teaming up with the detective to look for clues and discover the secrets of everyone closest to the victim.”

The play, which features a BIPOC cast, was created by Jordan Waters and Stephanie Marrow, was staged for delighted audiences in Brooklyn last year. “We wanted to bring the ‘whodunit’ genre to another level by making it immersive with multiple endings that are decided by what the guests uncover,” explain the producers, “giving them the chance to return again and see what they discover next.”

“The Art of Killin’ It” will run at the Park Theater in Hudson on July 14 and 15 at 7pm. Tickets start at $35.
